Privacy policy
Last updated November 3, 2026
This policy explains how LedgerWorks ("we", "us") handles personal information collected through this website. It covers the website only. Client financial data we handle as your bookkeeper is covered by your engagement agreement.
What we collect
- What you send us. When you use the contact form or email us: your name, email, company, phone (if you give it), where your business is, and what you tell us about it.
- Analytics, only if you agree. If you accept analytics cookies, Google Analytics records which pages you visit, roughly where you are (country or city), your device and browser, and how you found us. It does not tell us who you are.
- Basic server logs. Our hosting provider (Cloudflare) processes IP addresses to deliver the site and block abuse.
How we use it
- To answer your enquiry and prepare a quote.
- To understand which pages are useful and improve the site (analytics, with your consent).
- To keep the site secure and stop spam.
We don't sell personal information, and we don't use this website's data for advertising.
Cookies
We only set analytics cookies after you click "Accept analytics". You can change your choice at any time with Cookie settings at the bottom of every page. Booking a call through Calendly takes you to Calendly's site, which has its own privacy policy.
Who we share it with
Only the service providers that run this website and our email: our website host (BEND Creative, using Cloudflare), Google (analytics, if you agree) and our email provider. They may store data outside your province or country, including in the United States and Canada, and only process it on our behalf.
How long we keep it
Contact form messages are kept for up to 12 months unless you become a client. Analytics data is kept for 14 months.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, or withdraw your consent, by emailing accounting@ledger.works. Depending on where you live (for example under Canada's PIPEDA, Quebec's Law 25 or a US state privacy law) you may have further rights, and you can complain to your privacy regulator.
